Founded

Established in 1932 by Ramasamy Chettiyar, Krishnappa Chettiyar, and Ganapathy Chettiyar, RKG Ghee began as a trading enterprise, dealing in oils, butter, ghee and oil cakes, supplying goods from Tamil Nadu to Kerala. In its early years, Gingelly oil was the company’s primary focus, with ghee playing a secondary role. However, since the 1980s, RKG Ghee has grown into one of the company’s most esteemed products. Driven by increasing demand and an unwavering commitment to purity and quality, RKG Ghee has become a trusted household name, representing tradition, excellence and the rich heritage of Indian cuisine.

Production

With a legacy spanning over six decades, RKG Ghee began as a small-scale dairy business and steadily expanded its product range and market presence. Our journey to the global stage took a significant step forward in 2006 when we secured the IE code for direct exports. By 2008, RKG Ghee was proudly entering international markets under its own brand name. Today, our unwavering commitment to quality and purity has positioned us among the industry's leading ghee producers, trusted by consumers worldwide.

2010

Award Winner

Since 2010, rkg ghee has been operating a production plant for both export and domestic markets. Our ghee is made from high-quality ingredients and meets the standards of various countries. We have successfully exported our ghee to more than 10+ countries across the world.

2023

Market Leader

We have recently launched a new plant exclusively for export that meets the highest standards of quality and hygiene, equipped with modern machinery and technology. We have obtained certifications from EIA, AEO, Halal, FSSAI, AGMARK, ISO and other relevant authorities. We are currently exporting to more than 25 countries and exploring other markets. Our customers appreciate our ghee for its rich aroma, taste, and nutritional value. Our ghee is made from 100% pure cow milk, and it is free from any additives or preservatives.
